Polish actress and singer Joanna Kulig (“Chilly Battle,” “The Eddy”) and French icon Fanny Ardant are co-starring in “Island,” a psychological thriller by Italian-German author director Nora Jaenike filmed on the Italian island of Elba.
Filming on the largely English-language atmospheric noir wrapped on Nov. 4 on the island, which is positioned off the coast of Tuscany. Kulig, who gained a finest actress European Movie Award for her efficiency in Pawel Pawilkowski’s Oscar-nominated “Chilly Battle,” performs Joanna, a lady in her 40s married to a wealthy and controlling bedridden man.
